The Beautiful Climate of Belihuloya

It's November. The rainy period is already started for one month ago. I enjoy this rainy period in different perspectives. Even I don't have enough words to express the happiness about the nature of the Belihuloya and the surrounding of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. It's almost eight years I joined here on last Saturday.

These eight years flew away like lightning in the sky. Different people can have different places to visit at least once. But I challenge that, every one get crazy on being here when they visit once. This location is rich with beautiful mountains and eye catching waterfalls with fabulous views. The cool does not kill people but make them alive and active at least in a way. How dare a person can utter a word of negligence about this place.

I invite my dear friends and the family to pay a visit and the scar of your visit will never fade away from you indeed.

Avoid TV

There have been hundreds of studies on the link between exposure to violence (on TV or within a game) and violent behavior. Most of the studies answered: yes, the link is there. According to the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics): ‘Extensive research evidence indicates that media violence can contribute to aggressive behavior, desensitization to violence, nightmares, and fear of being harmed.’ An average American child will see 200,000 violent acts and 16,000 murders on TV by age 18... None of us wants to see our children or our loved ones depressed, obese, in front of computers or TV screens at all times, having behavioral problems, being sick, or experiencing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. However, the rhythm of our lives and our day-to-day habits that allow the TV to rule might damage our mental health.
